\nRespiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist
\n\nJob Details:
\n• 13-week assignment with day shifts
\n• 36 or 48 hours per week available
\n• Every other weekend required, must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
\n• Self-scheduling model available (manager will explain, cannot guarantee desired schedule but will accommodate when possible)
\n• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
\n• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
\n• Working in the children's hospital providing care for neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents
\n• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS, and Virginia state license
\n• NRP and ACCS preferred
\n• Must be competent in use of Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
\n• Epic charting experience required
\n• Must be comfortable working in multidisciplinary team requiring strong communication and critical thinking skills
\n• Will float within scope of practice within the facility
\n• Care for patients in NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
\n• Must have competency in various respiratory procedures including aerosol setups, CPAP/BiPAP, high flow nasal cannula, ventilator management, and tracheostomy care
\n• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
\n• References required for submission

\nThis major academic medical center features a comprehensive children's hospital with 111 beds, including a pediatric emergency department, Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit serving children under 18. The facility provides primary and specialty care in more than 30 specialties and offers a complex congenital heart program accepting patients with all types of congenital cardiac defects including transplants and ECMO. The respiratory services department supports interdisciplinary care across all units of the children's hospital.
