- Assists in preparing of food.
- Serves meals to students and staff.
- Performs cleaning duties, including cleaning of equipment and work areas, storage areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
- Sets up hot and/or cold food area.
- Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events.
- Prepares and serve food according to menus.
Ability to place and receive food and paper orders and EOM Inventory
- Checks temperatures(including hot cold temps) and records appropriately understanding and keeping proper production records.
- Attends all mandatory in-service programs and all training assigned..
- Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Work school schedule - Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm

- While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required Sit, walk, talk and hear
- Use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Be standing on feet majority of the workday in addition to walking back and forth.
- Lift and/or move up to 40+ pounds. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line
- Standing most of the work day is required.
- Work requires movement in and out of store rooms and freezers
- Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.

Requirements
- High school or GED equivalent.
- Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
- Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting up to 45lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling.
- Computer Skills/ Point of Sales
- Cooking Skills / Recipe Adherence
Serve Safe Certified, Allergen Awareness Training
Ability to place and receive food and paper orders. EOM Inventory
Ability to Manage staff
- Understanding of Sanitation Standards HACCAP Guidelines
- Able to pass background check
- Always present a positive and professional image in customer service
