Ripple Effect is looking for a graduate student to join our team as a Web Developer Intern to support our client’s mission. This role will be on the Digital Transformation team and will work with other teams to oversee the development of high-quality websites, collaborate with designers, and implement best practices to ensure optimal website performance and user experience.

General Information
Responsibilities
Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Use internet technologies, techniques, scripting and object-oriented languages and databases (e.g. HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL) to create, edit, and update web page elements such as user interface features, site animation, web apps, special effects, databases, and e-business applications
Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
Troubleshoot a variety of issues including script and plugin errors, media integration, and website usability
Support the maintenance, expansion, and scaling of websites
Improve websites using industry best practices for both functionality and search engine results
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
Draft and maintain software documentation
Other duties, as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience
Basic Requirements
Proficient in WordPress and Drupal
Excellent documentation skills including with requirements gathering
Programming skills and knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
Ability to code in at least one programming language, such as Javascript and Python
Knowledge of jQuery and other web development libraries and frameworks
Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines
Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques
Highly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-oriented
Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication skills, including professional emails
Ability to work productively and collaboratively in SharePoint to accomplish tasks
Available to support projects for at least 10 hours per week, during 9-5pm Monday-Friday
