Department: Digital Media Reports To: Senior Producer, Digital Media Location: New York (Hybrid) Position Overview As a key member of the Digital Media team, the Video Producer plays a central role in developing and creating impactful video content that supports Carnegie Hall’s artistic programming, branding, and audience engagement goals. This role requires a strong background in video production, post-production, motion graphics, and animation, with a deep understanding of storytelling across platforms including live streaming, on-demand video, podcasts, social media, and live events. The Video Producer will collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative Services, Artistic Programming, Development, and Public Relations/Archives teams to craft short-form and long-form video content that is visually compelling, brand-aligned, and optimized for performance across digital channels. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage video productions from concept through completion, including pre-production planning, filming, editing, and post-production. Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative concepts that align with campaign goals and Carnegie Hall’s mission. Oversee the creation and delivery of audio and audiovisual media assets for carnegiehall.org , social media platforms, and live events. Maintain and manage Carnegie Hall’s YouTube channels and ensure orderly file management and archiving procedures. Ensure quality assurance and timely delivery of all video content, balancing multiple projects and deadlines. Apply best practices in video storytelling, including social-first formats, short-form and platform-specific adaptations. Inventively repurpose existing footage to craft powerful narratives and maximize reach. Coordinate with vendors, freelancers, and creative teams to meet production goals and schedules. Communicate proactively across departments to align timelines, deliverables, and creative direction. Stay current with video trends, technologies, and audience behaviors to continuously elevate content quality. Qualifications Professional experience in video production, editing, and project management , with a proven ability to lead and coordinate complex video projects from concept to delivery. Demonstrated success in managing production timelines, resources, and cross-functional teams , ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Creative Suite, and sound editing software. Strong storytelling and visual composition skills, with a portfolio/demo reel demonstrating relevant experience. Knowledge of cameras, lighting, and audio recording tools. Deep understanding of post-production workflows and asset management best practices. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Exceptional organizational and time management skills , with the ability to prioritize competing demands and adapt to shifting needs. Culturally responsive, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for and commitment to Carnegie Hall’s mission and values. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Preferred Skills Experience with animated illustration and motion graphics. Familiarity with SEO and video analytics. Experience in arts, music, or nonprofit media production. Knowledge of accessibility standards for digital media. Experience using project management tools (e.g., Lytho) to track progress and collaborate across teams.
