In a Nutshell: As a Sales Trainee, get ready to jump right in and get the full sales experience! Be prepared to learn in multiple departments, do ride-alongs with successful Salesmen and visit job sites all around the Chicagoland area. This position helps to solve our customer's problems, find solutions that fit their needs and help get their job done. When they succeed we succeed as well!

Job Duties:

• Taking customer orders over the phone or at the retail sales counter. Stocking shelves, picking and packing orders. The position will be required to travel to various branch locations for varying durations of time.
• Travel to assigned territories with the Account Managers calling on customers, maintaining communications while soliciting orders and acquiring feedback from customers.
• Primary product focus includes all McCann's equipment, tools and supplies. A diverse product knowledge will be gained from the various branches, positions and leaders within McCann.
• Future job assignments for this position, including advancement into an Account Manager position will be at the discretion of the Sales Manager and other senior managers. There is no standard time period for advancement; it is strictly based on the performance of the individual within this position.

Requirements:

• Outgoing, friendly personality is essential!
• Bachelor's degree, or 2-4 years relevant experience in a construction field is preferred, or working toward that currently in school.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Must have excellent computer and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communicator with customer service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
