Responsibilities

We are looking for an ambitious Receptionist to join our dedicated team on a bank basis.

Mayo Clinic is a global leader in medical care. Our doctors practice the art of care, not just the science of medicine. They take the time needed to perform unhurried, comprehensive and thoughtful evaluations and consultations, making sure patients understand every step of their care. 

The Receptionist receives and screens phone calls, email enquiries, greets patients, visitors, and other customers, directs callers and visitors appropriately. Takes requests of various kinds and directs them appropriately. Directs patient/visitor/customer flow. Schedules appointments, takes messages, distributes mail, information and supplies. Performs various clerical duties including typing, data entry, and filing. Orders supplies, mails correspondence, distributes mail, may collect and maintain data. Assists other office personnel as requested.

This position is located in London.  Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the U.K..  Relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). 
  • Formal vocational training of one year in a secretarial or computer training course is preferred. 
  • Minimum work experience of two years in a front of house or administrative position is required. 
  • Must be able to operate typical office equipment including computer, copy machine, calculator and telephone system. 
  • Prior experience with data entry and Microsoft applications is required.
  • Medical terminology background is helpful. Must have excellent communication and public relations skills and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be self-directed with problem solving skills.
