Job Description
Under the Manager, Moody Radio Production, this position will care for basic aspects of radio audio production which may include live on-air board operation and/or producing.This position may also create pre-recorded daily, weekly or special programming while caring for all ancillary duties related to the preparation of this material. Primary purpose is to contribute to any aspect of Moody Radio programming outlets in the English and Spanish languages.

- Assist with creation of program/(s) to air on Moody Radio and its various streaming outlets
- Ability to edit copy for radio in the English and Spanish languages.
- Digital Audio Editing of program content, understanding audio dynamics processing and final mixdown of program audio for air play
- Post audio to all necessary outlets
- Operate technical studio equipment for live radio programs with significant understanding of timing, audio playback, phone systems, remote audio codecs and dynamics processing.
- Learn from assigned Senior Producer Mentor
- File, recommend supplies for order and perform miscellaneous duties for department.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
- Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements - Associate degree in Audio/Visual Communications, Mass Media or related field
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, with fluency in both languages (C1/C2 CERF's CRL).
- Excellent communications skills both in person and by phone
- Organized, with a strong work ethic.
- Able to work in the US legally without sponsorship.
Preferred Requirements - Bilingual, English and Spanish, with fluency in both languages (C1/C2 CERF's CRL).
- Bachelor's Degree in Audio/Visual Communications, Broadcast Communications or related field.
- Over six months of experience in radio or TV, completed internship in field, or audio editing experience.
- Understanding of digital audio and radio console operation and related equipment.

This is a full-time position that requires the employee to be in Chicagoland. The position would either work Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday, depending on the time of year. The role primarily operates on-site with some flexibility for remote work, given the employee has a qualified audio studio.
This job operates primarily in a professional bilingual office environment but sometimes in offsite/field studio environments both indoor and outdoor. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role also regularly uses specialized audio equipment including consoles, related hardware, computerized audio editors, specialized listening environments etc. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
