Position Overview: Join our team as a Product Support Engineer in the dynamic field of vacuum pump technology. We are seeking a highly skilled individual with a strong technical background in engineering or a related field, combined with exceptional communication and analytical skills. As a Product Support Engineer , you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise and support for our range of vacuum pump products, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support:
  • Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to internal teams and external customers.
  • Assist in the product selection process, troubleshoot technical issues, and offer custom solutions for smooth operation.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Becker product line.
  • Continuously update knowledge of product features, functionality, maintenance, etc.
  • Gain insights into key markets and applications, understanding the advantages/disadvantages of various products.
  • Product Training:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for internal staff and external partners.
  • Ensure stakeholders have a thorough understanding of product specifications, capabilities, and maintenance requirements.
  • Product Development:
  • Collaborate with teams in the USA and Germany during design, development, and testing phases.
  • Provide technical insights and feedback, recommend enhancements based on market feedback, and test new products for durability and reliability.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding specific needs and offering tailored solutions and support.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial equipment and/or familiarity with electrical systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a technical support or product specialist role; experience with vacuum pumps or similar equipment is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, industry events, and conferences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong general mechanical ability.
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
