Job Title: Outdoor Lighting Technician

Department: Operations

Reports To: Business Owner

Status & Salary: Non-Exempt – Hourly

Pay Rate: Starting at $25/hour plus commission plan

Schedule: Full time; 30-40 hours per week

Expected Start Date: 11/20/2024

SUMMARY OF ROLE:

Supports company operations by performing all tasks at the customers work site (e.g., home or commercial location) as determined in the scope of work. These duties and necessary functions are to be performed safely, professionally and in a timely manner to meet our customer expectations and provide excellent customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:

· Communicates with Homeowner/Client upon arrival at work site, to briefly explain/confirm the scope of work to be performed and estimated length of time to complete tasks.

· Speak to Homeowner/Client to educate and upsell other products, as applicable.

· Problem-solve at the work site and communicate with Business Owner about any changes.

· Assemble and mount fixtures in prescribed locations, mount transformers and connect wire runs.

· Run and bury low voltage wiring in landscape areas and lawns.

· Safely operate a variety of tools including hammer drills, power drills, saws, grinders and other tools as required.

· Safely climb and utilize ladders to perform necessary installation tasks.

· Clean up of all areas affected by the installation and perform maintenance on all Company tools and equipment used daily on work sites.

· Operate company vehicle in a safe manner, maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Notify management of any vehicle accidents, malfunctions or damages. Maintain a valid driver’s license (no moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years).

· Prepares and correctly completes submits reports.

· Promptly inform Business Owner of any team member injury, issues/disputes with Home Owner/Client, damage to structure, or company tools/equipment.

· Participating in on-line and in-person training, as directed by the Business Owner. Successfully pass internal COLT (Certified Outdoor Lighting Technician) training.

· Follow all company polices, safety rules and procedures including all highway traffic laws.

· Receive and follow oral and written instructions from Business Owner.

· Perform other duties that may be assigned, such as marketing activities.

· Be available to work a flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· High School degree or equivalent and/or minimum of 1-year experience in a customer service-related industry.

· Computer skills, general knowledge of smartphone apps, email and texting.

· Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record, and other pre- employment screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Able to lift & carry items up to 75 lbs.

· Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling the handling of materials.

· Stand or walk for periods of time.

· Stoop, kneel, crouch in awkward positions.

· Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
