Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Event Manager. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning and executing a wide range of events, including conferences, seminars, corporate parties, and charity galas. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure that each event is delivered seamlessly, exceeding client expectations and creating memorable experiences for attendees.

*This role will include Event hours - including but not limited to evenings, weekends and holidays. Occasionally a seven day work week, or several days in a row may be required with advanced notice. *

**Bi-lingual preferred, but not required**

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain event project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

Coordinate with clients to understand their event objectives and requirements

Research and negotiate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for event-related services and products

Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, transportation, audio-visual equipment, and catering arrangements

Collaborate with internal and external teams to create event marketing materials and promotional strategies

Manage event registration, attendee communication, and ticket sales through online platforms

Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring that all aspects of the event run smoothly and efficiently

Monitor event budgets, expenses, and revenues, and provide regular reports to stakeholders

Evaluate event success and gather feedback from clients, attendees, and stakeholders for continuous improvement

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field preferred; OR relavant work experience.

Proven experience as an Event Manager, successfully planning and executing a variety of events

Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize

Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors

Proficiency in event management software and online ticketing platforms

Knowledge of event marketing strategies and techniques

Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required for event setup and execution

Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

Ability to lift and carry event equipment and supplies

Professional and polished appearance, with a strong attention to detail
