About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to lead the accounting function for a group of mechanical contractor companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting activities, including overseeing a team of Controllers, and consolidating company accounts. A key part of the role is to support the acquisition and integration of new companies and to be involved in the implementation of a new ERP system across the group. The CAO will work closely with the CEO and CFO, and while experience in construction and private-equity environments is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. The ideal CAO for this role at the company will be a CPA with a strong background in accounting leadership, particularly within a large, complex, multi-entity setting. The position demands a professional who can effectively manage the financial operations of the group, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial guidance. The role is pivotal in the company's growth and requires a candidate who is adept at handling the financial aspects of a rapidly expanding business.
