With roots in northeast Indiana, we are a family-owned company that has been raising and processing organic and all-natural chicken with the help of local farm families for over 30 years. We are vertically integrated and oversee every process within the company, from our chicks hatching at our family-owned hatchery, being placed within our community of more than 180 farm families, to owning two feed mills that process our corn and soybean meal mixture. We do our best to source our feed ingredients from local farmers to minimize our carbon footprint. Shipping Lead SUMMARY

Provide supervisory leadership and training to employees tasked with fulfilling the duties associated with the shipping department.

Training and shift

All qualified candidates must be able to train on either days or 2nd shift once training is completed the candidate will work 10:30pm to 7am

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Provide leadership in fulfillment of the company’s mission statement
• Provide supervisory leadership of the shipping departments in relation to decision making and controls concerning safety, quality, customer service, efficiency, order fulfillment, equipment use, shipping scheduling, employee relations, packaging, training, and department related issues.
• Work with other supervisors, managers, and associates to meet the performance goals of the company
• Set up shipping times and pickups accordingly with trucking companies as needed
• Working knowledge of Canopy system, billing, and scanner guns
• Coordinate with production to ensure on time demands are being met for orders
• Must pass all tests for pallet jack and forklift training
• Examine invoices and shipping manifests
• Examine products or materials to ensure quality
• All other duties as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Experience: Six months to one year related experience , must be able to back up trailers to docks

Computer Skills: Basic understanding of computers Miller Poultry Canopy system
