We’re looking for a Character and Avatar Artist (Remote / Part-Time) to help us create the future of live anime entertainment — working alongside industry-renowned animators and independent content creators. Responsibilities

• Model anime-style 3D characters and avatars, closely matching 2D reference designs
• Create optimized, rig-friendly characters for real-time Unity (URP pipeline)
• Develop stylized textures using Substance Painter, including NPR-focused materials
• Build modular character components (e.g., outfits, accessories, hairstyles)
• Collaborate with riggers and animators on blendshapes, facial systems, and deformation
• Work with shader artists to ensure anime-style NPR fidelity (outlines, shading)
• Design clothing using Marvelous Designer where needed
• Set up MagicaCloth2 physics for hair, accessories, and outfits

Skills & Requirements

• Portfolio showing anime-style or NPR 3D characters/avatars
• Proven ability to faithfully translate 2D designs into 3D
• Proficient in Blender, Maya, ZBrush, or similar modeling tools
• Strong UV, topology, baking, and texture painting for stylized models
• Experience with Substance Painter for stylized and NPR textures
• Familiar with Unity (URP) for avatar setup and optimization
• Basic MagicaCloth2 experience for character physics
• Self-directed and collaborative in a remote work environment
• Must have 3-5 years professional experience creating Games, Anime, or other Entertainment related fields

Bonus / Nice-to-Have

• Marvelous Designer for anime-style clothing
• Experience with VRChat, ChilloutVR, or VTuber platforms
• Familiarity with Unity Humanoid rigs and blendshape systems
• Knowledge of Shader Graph for NPR shading (outlines, lighting)
• Real-time facial tracking integrations (e.g., Warudo, FaceMotion3D, iFacialMocap)
• Advanced MagicaCloth2 setup/troubleshooting
• Modular avatar systems for customization (swappable parts, outfits)
